Who We Are:

FEDERATION OF AWBRIDGE & WELLOW PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The Governing Body is a group of volunteers, each bringing a different set of skills and experience, who work with both schools in a variety of ways. Governors take a strategic role and do not become involved in the day-to-day running of the schools. They support and challenge the schools and are accountable for the schools’ decisions. They are also responsible for the selection and appointment of the Executive Head Teacher. In accordance with our constitution the following 15 people form the Governing Body to the Federation of Awbridge and Wellow Primary Schools:

6 Parent governors –
3 from Awbridge and 3 from Wellow
When there is a vacancy, the school will invite applications from their parents. If more than one parent puts their name forward the Governor is then elected by the parents from the school with the vacancy

v      Mark Stileman (Awbridge)
v      Dr Sarah Bartram (Awbridge)
